Celebrating 50 Years of Bangladesh and CSOs: Reflecting on Achievements and Future Directions in Education

Cso- The overall objective of the program is to recognize and review the achievements of Bangladesh including the role and contribution of CSO’s in education since our Independence, by highlighting voices of the marginalized for drawing attention of decision makers. Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP, Hon’ble Speaker, Bangladesh National Parliament has kindly consented to join as Chief Guest Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, Chairperson, Education Watch will Chair the event.

 

A special event titled “Celebrating 50 Years of Bangladesh and CSOs: Achievements, Challenges, and Forward-Looking Areas in Education” is scheduled to take place, focusing on the progress made in the education sector since Bangladesh’s independence. The program aims to recognize the significant contributions of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in advancing education while also addressing ongoing challenges and amplifying the voices of marginalized communities to capture the attention of policymakers.

 

Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP, Hon’ble Speaker of the Bangladesh National Parliament, will attend the event as the Chief Guest. The session will be chaired by Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, Chairperson of Education Watch.

 

The event will serve as a platform for stakeholders to reflect on the achievements of the past five decades, examine the role of CSOs in promoting equitable and inclusive education, and discuss forward-looking strategies to address gaps in the sector. By highlighting the concerns of marginalized groups, the program aims to influence decision-making processes and contribute to shaping the future of education in Bangladesh.
