About CSO Alliance

Who We Are

The CSO Alliance is the top-level coalition of various Civil Society Platforms and its independent civil society organisations (CSOs) in Bangladesh. Established to amplify the collective voice and impact of CSOs, the Alliance is dedicated to forwarding a robust and dynamic civil society capable of driving meaningful social change. It excels in advocacy, capacity building, and strategic networking, navigating complex policy environments to support CSO-friendly policies and promoting a unified voice. The Alliance also strengthens its members by analysing funding landscapes, engaging strategically with stakeholders and development partners, and offering specialised training programs. Beyond national activities, it actively participates in global networks, advocating for the rights and interests of communities on international platforms.

CSO Alliance serves as an umbrella organization in Bangladesh, uniting various non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil society organization (CSO) platforms, social enterprises, and think tanks/research institutions. Its objective is to coordinate and represent the entire NGO sector in discussions, facilitate constructive engagement, and negotiate with the government, development partners the private sector, media, and other relevant stakeholders.
